In the area of level measurement technology, today's topic is "StandardLine", our float switches for safe, point level detection.

Task and function

In the portfolio of all VLI this is the line, for professional industrial use. 

The reliable visualization and detection of liquid media levels in containers whose accessibility is not given by pressure, temperature or for other reasons.

Operating principle

In the bypass chamber, a float moves on the liquid surface with a magnet that actuates an indicator rail on the outside or controls electrical accessories.

Special suitability in the field of application

In the series of all VLI in the portfolio, this is the line whose three variants fully exploit all parameters in terms of pressure (up to 50 bar), temperature (-100°C ... +400°C), density (from 0.55 g/ccm) and viscosity (up to 600 cSt). X-ray capability, material verification (certificates / PMI) or other non-destructive testing methods cover the increased requirements of industrial applications.

The full variance of all VLI is available in this product line. From length and flange connections to the complete range of accessories (indicator rails, magnetic switches, transducers, etc.) to tests and verifications.

• StandardLine 6 - for "simple application" up to 6 bar and 150°C
• StandardLine 28 - for "medium requirements" up to 28 bar and 400°C

Available accessories

In addition to the different versions of the indicator rails, the extension of point limit switches by magnetic switches or the continuous signal acquisition by transducers is possible.

The accessories are also adapted to the respective requirements regarding application parameters, certificates and approvals.

Available spare parts

The advantages of the product include its durability, which is designed to last for decades, and low maintenance requirements. There are practically no wear parts - yet floats and seals can be reordered. Should a defect occur in the indicator rail or electrical accessories, the parts can be replaced without any problems.

Tip: Give your contact person the fabrication number from the type plate. In our archive all orders of the last 50 years are documented, so that we can offer the optimal replacement.

Current market approvals

In addition to the usual requirements for pressure vessels by the European Union (CE) and the Eurasian Union (EAC), applications in European explosion protection (ATEX) and international explosion protection (IECEx) as well as shipbuilding can also be served.
