Strategic portfolio optimization: WEKA discontinues TLI IndustryLine…
In our series: Product lines in focus we alternately present the most important features and characteristics of our product lines from our business units.
In the area of valves and cryogenic components, today's topic is cold check valves (ccv) which are typically installed in the cryogenic line of vacuum-insulated cold boxes. Common applications are temperatures up to 4K and pressure ratings up to PN25.
The check valve ensures that the fluid flows in one direction only.
To prevent unwanted oscillations in the system, the check valves are optionally available with a small bypass bore.
A spring presses the sealing head into the seat in the depressurized state. As soon as a low pressure builds up at the inlet of the check valve due to the fluid, the spring force is overcome and the sealing head lifts off the seat. The fluid flows through the check valve. If the pressure is present at the outlet of the check valve, the pressure additionally supports the spring force and presses the sealing head into the seat, thus preventing backflow.
The product is maintenance-free. Since it is fully integrated into the line and installed in the coldbox, no unwanted heat input results in the process.
Transport protection and protective caps for delivery. Otherwise, no further accessories are required.
Since the product is maintenance-free, welded and inaccessible in the coldbox, it requires no spare parts.
