Strategic portfolio optimization: WEKA discontinues TLI IndustryLine…

The future is supposed to be CO₂-neutral - hydrogen is considered one of the promising energy alternatives. That is why demand is growing, whether in research, in industry or in the supply of hydrogen-powered cars or commercial vehicles. But hydrogen is highly explosive, and explosion protection is particularly important during production, storage and distribution. In everyday life, for example, appropriate safety standards are required when transporting hydrogen to a hydrogen filling station or when refuelling.
WEKA cryogenic bellow valves now have IECEx explosion protection certification. This means that these cryogenic components are now also approved for systems that are certified according to IECEx, i.e. where the certificate is required for valves and attachments in explosive zones.
Explosion protection and the corresponding certifications have long been central, for example for electrical equipment. But non-electrical equipment such as valves must also meet explosion protection standards. IECEx is an external, non-governmental certification system under the auspices of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
With the IECEx explosion protection certification WEKA takes another step towards comprehensive safety and highest reliability. WEKA has liquids and gases under control - this is especially true when there is a risk of explosion.
